THIS YEAR’S TOMORROWLAND: THE PEOPLE OF TOMORROW UNITE FOR TWO UNFORGETTABLE WEEKENDS
words by NATALIE GAL
Each summer, Tomorrowland steals the spotlight as one of the most talked-about festivals in the world — and this year, it truly made headlines. Just days before opening, a sudden fire destroyed the iconic main stage, leaving the internet buzzing and 400,000 excited attendees holding their breath. How would the team respond?
Then came the official statement:
“Our teams are working day and night, with heart and soul, to turn the impossible into reality: Tomorrowland Belgium 2025 will open doors at 14:00.
An alternative setup for the beloved Mainstage is planned to open at 16:00, pending any last-minute changes. All artists will perform as scheduled on all other stages as from 14:00.
Tomorrowland will unite, stronger than ever!”
And unite, it did! Against the odds, the festival team pulled off what seemed impossible — responding to a major crisis with speed and grace. It’s a scenario no organizer ever wants to face, and yet Tomorrowland 2025 turned it around, receiving lots of supports from their visitors. Hats off to everyone behind the scenes.
Now that we’ve covered the drama, let’s talk about what we’re really here for: the music. Below are the 10 most-heard, most-cheered tracks from the first weekend of Tomorrowland 2025:
1. Cloonee, Young M.A., InntRaw - Stephanie (HNTR and other remixes)
2. John Summit ft. Hayla - Where You Are (Original and other remixes)
3. The Temper Trap - Sweet Disposition (Axwell & Dirty South Remix + other versions)
4. Calvin Harris, Clementine Douglas - Blessings (Cassian Remix and other versions)
5. Argy, Omnya - Aria
6. Chris Lorenzo - Appetite
7. Martin Garrix & Third Party ft. Oaks & Declan - Carry You
8. David Guetta & Benny Benassi - Satisfaction (+ other versions)
9. Pryda - Allein
10. Hatiras - Hypnotized
Now the first chapter of Tomorrowland 2025 has officially wrapped but many are still processing the memorable experience. Sixteen unique stages offered their own world of sound and spectacle, they all had different aesthetics, music and energy. The grand finale? A jaw-dropping performance by the legendary David Guetta.
The second weekend was filled with the same incredible passion, highlighted by the truly insane light shows the festival has long been known for. We saw many Numéro Netherlands favorites take the stage, keeping the crowds energized. Artists like Nico Moreno, Steve Aoki, Mahmut Orhan, and the legendary Martin Garrix all performed. But I have to admit, it's almost impossible to pick favorites with hundreds of musicians, DJs, and performers spread across so many different stages.
Tomorrowland undoubtedly reconfirmed its place as one of the world's premier festivals, thanks to its strong lineup, visuals, and an even stronger commitment to its craft and message.
