A WEEKEND AT PRIMAVERA SOUND WITH CUPRA
words by ELIANA CASA and DOMINIKA GLOWACZ
It’s that time of year again...we’re talking about Primavera Sound. This past weekend, CUPRA flew us out to Barcelona—the city that signals the start of summer for nearly half a million music lovers every year. And this year’s edition? Pure magic from start to finish.
The lineup delivered on every front. Charli XCX and Troye Sivan kicked things off with their SWEAT show with their signature hyperpop chaos. We couldn’t stop dancing in unison with the crowd—and yes, we even got to wish Troye a happy birthday. Then came FKA twigs, whose performance defied categorization: part dance, part ritual, all unforgettable. Over at the CUPRA Stage, The Dare brought the heat with a raw DJ set that had the whole place moving.
Day two brought surprises: a secret DJ set from none other than Kevin Parker (aka Tame Impala) at the CUPRA Pulse stage. His dreamy, immersive mix blurred the line between reality and reverie. Wet Leg brought the chaos with cheeky hits like “Ur Mum” and “Chaise Longue,” while Sabrina Carpenter closed the night with a new intro, a new Juno pose, and costume-changes. Earlier that day, CUPRA hosted a laid-back brunch hangout, where we got to customize keychains and picked up limited-edition festival merch. But what stood out most was how naturally CUPRA integrated into the rhythm of the festival. From sleek lounges to artist interviews and installations, everything felt tuned to the moment.
By day three, the emotional bar had been raised. Chappell Roan took the stage with “Super Graphic Ultra Modern Girly,” delivering one of the weekend’s most raw and intimate sets. Full of camp, catharsis, and connection, she even paused mid-show to read aloud her fan’s ex’s most toxic confessions.
Among all the artists, HEIM, Ogazón, Beach House, Fontaines D.C., left their mark on the weekend. Throughout it all, CUPRA showcased its latest electric models and livestreamed select performances to a global audience via the new CUPRA Music Hub. And yet, it never pulled focus from the music. Instead, it elevated everything—blending bold design, cutting-edge tech, and pure festival joy into one seamless, unforgettable experience.
One last performance at the CUPRA stage by Aminé left us wanting for more.
So what’s left to say? Just this: we already miss it. Thanks to CUPRA, we didn’t just attend Primavera, we felt every moment. From the front row to the final afterglow.
