AMSTERDAM PRIDE GUIDE 2025

words by NATALIE GAL

Recently, we’ve been talking a lot about why we love Amsterdam, what the city gave us, how it shaped us, embraced us, and let us grow into who we are today. And there’s one part of the city that can’t be overstated: its acceptance.

We live in a world where hate often gets loud. Headlines scream and that certain pressure lingers in the air everywhere we go. But not here. Amsterdam has always been bold, open, and proudly inclusive. It celebrates and protects the queer community and gives it space to thrive. With one of the oldest Pride celebrations in Europe and a history of being the first country to legalize same-sex marriage, the city walks the walk.

As a tribute, we’ve collected the best events, parties, and exhibitions happening all over town and created Numéro Netherlands’ Pride Guide, your ultimate roadmap to a city that loves us as much as we love it.

PRIDE ART ROUTE

At ARCA Bar, you can spot a duo exhibition that brings together painter and Rembrandt Prize-winner Thomas van Dun and Devon Ress. The exhibition opened on July 17 and is available until August 3rd. Even though Thomas van Dun’s creative path is rooted in music; now, in his visual language, he focuses on sensuality, the queer experience and journey. While Devon Ress focuses on drawings and mixed-media work, being playful with painting and sketching.

If you wanna more about Arca, I recommend Numéro Netherlands’ review of the restaurant and interview with the chef, Henrique Sá Pessoa.
