ANN DEMEULEMEESTER PRESENTS PRE-SPRING 2026 BY STEFANO GALLICI
words NIA TOPALOVA
Ann Demeulemeester’s Pre-Spring 2026 collection is a search for codes and forms that have defined the house throughout the years - a time for reflection, balancing moment and memory. Structured waistcoats, elongated coats, sharp jackets in black, white, nude, sage, and sand, with each shape undergoing of saturation, intertwining with textures that deepen the language of colour.
The way Stefano Gallici understands Ann Demeulemeester’s sensibility and language, as a way of being in the world, reveals his ongoing pursuit of a shared silent dialogue between his work and hers. His apprenticeship under Haider Ackermann, having spent 9 months between Antwerp and Paris learning draping, Japanese pattern techniques, collection sequencing, and fabric juxtaposition, even his bond with Ann over music and archives have been truly formative in shaping his voice. Gallici connects deeply to the creative rebellion that defined Ann and the Antwerp 6, as Antwerp served as the crucible for his design philosophy, anchoring the brand to its place of origin.
Stefano Gallici’s path carries both personal alignment and creative heritage. Intentional in evolving the house’s emotional storytelling, his work can be observed as a meaningful evolution of Ann’s world.
