MUGLER UNVEILS THE RE/EDIT ARCHIVE CAPSULE STARRING SHARON STONE

words by NATALIE GAL

24 Iconic Looks from the Belle Époque of Fashion! This capsule revisits the bold, transformative world of Manfred Thierry Mugler, spotlighting 24 archival looks from his extraordinary body of work. Focusing on both ready-to-wear and couture pieces from 1985 to 2000, the collection captures the essence of an era shaped by Mugler’s vision.

At the heart of the capsule are three defining codes: Sculptural Tailoring, Lingerie as Outerwear, and The Red Carpet, each is a cornerstone of Mugler’s aesthetic.

So, what is Mugler? It’s sharply padded shoulders, tightly cinched waists, and sculpted, hyper-feminine silhouettes, power suits and the black velvet gown with an edge.

It’s a fashion house that didn’t just respond to cultural shifts, it created and defined them. Mugler’s influence runs so deep, so embedded in the fashion DNA of today, that we often forget how revolutionary it truly was.

Photographed with a voyeuristic eye, the re/edit visual narrative stars Sharon Stone, friend of the house. Inspired by '90s thrillers and the Maison’s own iconic photographic history, particularly the work of Guy Bourdin and Helmut Newton.

Through her seductive presence, Stone reveals the layered identities of the Mugler woman — a true femme fatale, powerful, poised, and timeless.
