MONTBLANC DEBUTS A SECOND WES ANDERSON SHORT FILM AT MILAN FASHION WEEK
Montblanc unveiled its latest short film Let’s Write, created with director Wes Anderson, at a whimsical, travel-themed event in Milan. Set in the historic Squadra Rialzo Milano Centrale train depot, the evening began with a train ride from Central Station aboard the Montblanc Train, guiding guests into Anderson’s colourful, imaginative world.
The film, co-directed by Roman Coppola and starring Rupert Friend, Waris Ahluwalia, and Esther McGregor, continued Anderson’s creative journey through Montblanc’s universe, mixing humour, surprise, and storytelling. Global brand ambassadors Joey King and Daniel Brühl attended, alongside regional faces like Seo Kangjun, Kerem Bürsin, and Alfonso Herrera.
“I was deeply inspired by the Maison’s Hamburg archive that I have been closely studying for the past four years. It has pushed me to constantly think of new and original ways to bring the world of writing closer to our customers and their hearts.”
As the film premiered, guests dined at a long candlelit table nestled between vintage train carriages. Halfway through dinner, lights dimmed for Montblanc’s first-ever presentation. Models emerged from the train in choreographed elegance, revealing 16 new looks centered around Artistic Director Marco Tomasetta’s latest creations - leather jackets inspired by the Montblanc desk.
These jackets, along with the Maison’s Spring/Summer 2026 leather goods, reinterpret writing culture as a wearable experience. “This is the most intimate expression of Montblanc heritage yet,” said Tomasetta, referencing the Hamburg archives that fueled his designs.
