From September 17th to December 15th, 2025, The National Art Center, Tokyo, hosts Bvlgari Kaleidos: Colors, Cultures and Crafts, the Maison’s most extensive exhibition in Japan to date. Celebrating Bvlgari’s mastery of color, the show presents nearly 350 dazzling creations. Iconic jewelry and contemporary artworks, in a kaleidoscopic exploration of beauty, culture, and craftsmanship.
The exhibition includes High Jewelry, pieces from the Bvlgari Heritage Collection, immersive installations, and newly commissioned works by artists Lara Favaretto, Mariko Mori, and Akiko Nakayama. It's a vivid journey through three thematic chapters: The Science of Colors, Color Symbolism, and The Power of Light. Highlights include the legendary “Seven Wonders” emerald necklace and a transformable 1969 sautoir filled with bold gemstone colors.
Curated to reflect both Roman exuberance and Japanese minimalism, the scenography, designed by Japan’s SANAA and Italy’s Formafantasma, evokes the mosaics of ancient Rome and the delicate beauty of Tokyo’s ginkgo leaves.
Endorsed by the Italian Embassy in Japan, Bvlgari Kaleidos reflects a deep cultural dialogue between Italy and Japan. As Bvlgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin notes, the exhibition is “a celebration of fusion of cultures, of craftsmanship, and above all, of color.” With color as its unifying language, this unprecedented exhibition offers visitors a vibrant, multi-sensory tribute to Bvlgari’s artistic legacy and global spirit.
