CRUISE 2026: GUCCI IS FLORENCE, FLORENCE IS GUCCI
Florence — home of Renaissance, a place foundational to the culture of fashion and Italy itself, and birthplace of Gucci. The “Blossom” city certainly was the most meaningful setting for the latest Cruise collection and show.
The collection took place at Gucci Archive’s home, the 15th century Palazzo Settimanni, where models walked adorned in Gucci’s iconic leather goods, treated brocades, jacquards, silks, velvets and layered, richly embroidered lace. The GG Monogram moved through the collection, while the graphic single G was reinvented, appearing on belt buckles, inlays, and shoes. Silhouettes featured strong, oversized shoulders, yet remained sleek and fluid, while the new Gucci Giglio bag, a tribute to Florence’s iconic lily, launched immediately post-show. Gucci’s leatherwork heritage was explored in a jewelry collection co-created with Pomellato.
Closing the evening, models walked out into the piazza, returning Gucci to the city that has always defined it where Florence is Gucci, and Gucci is Florence.
