EVERYTHING YOU MISSED THIS WEEK
words ELIANA CASA
editor MARIE-PAULINE CESARI
Our lovely readers, another week has flown by—can you believe it? While we’re still recovering from our unforgettable gala at the Stedelijk Museum celebrating the launch of our new Amsterdam issue, one question remains: how do we even begin to make sense of it all when so much has happened? Luckily for you, our weekly recap is here to do just that. As we write this from the comfort of our beds, exciting news—like the upcoming Marc Jacobs documentary directed by none other than Sofia Coppola—has us on our toes. As for the rest… you know what to do: scroll down to catch up!
NUMÉRO AMSTERDAM IS OFFICIALLY OUT
After months of working behind the scenes on a very special limited-edition issue, we knew one thing for sure: the theme had to be the city that has welcomed us all, from every corner of the globe, and that just turned 750 years old: Amsterdam. Like an old friend, we’ve celebrated its gems, moments, people—and of course, we invited our amazing community to witness it all during our launch event at the Stedelijk Museum last Thursday night.
In the words of our Brand Director: “We didn’t all grow up here—but somehow, Amsterdam pulled us in. And we stayed. This special edition is our love letter to the people shaping its story today.”
Numéro Amsterdam issue is now available on our website and in selected stores. We hope you love it as much as we loved creating it.
GUCCI UNVEILS “THE PORTRAIT SERIES” FOR FW25
Forty-two faces. Forty-two stories. “The Gucci Portrait Series” is a subtle, gentle revelation, a space where garments come to life on the bodies of the models. Behind Catherine Opie’s lens, Gucci’s FW25 campaign was brought to life last week, infused with Alessandro Michele’s signature romantic vision on how to hold a bag, tie a scarf, and pose in front of the camera. Through Opie’s intimate portraiture and Lisa Rovner’s candid video direction, the campaign explores vulnerability, authenticity, and that unmistakable, effortless Gucci spirit you simply can’t fake. With every shot, The Gucci Portrait Series invites us to look again—not just at the clothes, but at the people wearing them.

CHARLI XCX X CONVERSE LAUNCH CUSTOM "BRAT" CHUCK TAYLOR
Charli XCX might’ve burned that Brat flag at Glastonbury, but for us, some things are forever. The British singer is once again stepping into the world of fashion with a new collaboration with Converse: “the Custom Chuck Taylor All Star Charli XCX By You”. And of course, it had to be a limited edition—available for just three days starting August 5—in true Brat spirit. The collection is punk, maximalist, and unapologetically designed to let your creativity run wild. Fans can customize their brand-new pair of Converse with Charli-inspired brat-energy: think distressed green, trompe-l’œil prints, and interchangeable patches.

‘MARC BY SOFIA’ WILL DEBUT AT VENICE FILM FESTIVAL
We haven’t seen a better duo since John Galliano and Kate Moss prepping for a runway. Until now. Sofia Coppola is making her documentary debut, and she’s doing it with none other than the iconic Marc Jacobs. Titled “Marc by Sofia,” the film is set to premiere at the Venice International Film Festival this August. It promises to offer an intimate glimpse into the life of the designer—and long-time friend—from a perspective only Coppola could capture. What we’ll have the honour of witnessing is the man behind the genius, behind the brand: simply Marc, as a human being, navigating creativity, reinvention, and legacy. Could this be one of the most romantic love letters ever written? Only time will tell. If this isn’t the definition of friendship goals, we’re not sure what is.

KYLIE JENNER IS OFFICIALLY A MIU MIU GIRL FOR FW25
Miu Miu is one for the girls—and Kylie Jenner is officially one of them for its FW25 campaign. Titled “Femininities,” Miuccia Prada took it literally by gathering a powerful cast. Photographed by Lengua and styled by Lotta Volkova, the campaign unfolds against moiré silk backdrops in soft, tonal hues—emphasizing texture, silhouette, and quiet strength. Shaping bras, pointelle knits, and bias-cut skirts are contrasted with masculine tailoring in felted wool, signature Miuccia at her best. The color palette is soft and romantic, perfectly aligned with Kylie Jenner’s own aesthetic. Once again, Prada proves itself to be one of the most forward-thinking brands of our time, smartly forging a connection with a younger generation. It doesn’t come as a surprise, considering that the brand's stellar retail increased even more since resonating more and more with Gen Z.

GIORGIO ARMANI CELEBRATES 50 ANS DE STYLE
This week, we’re not just celebrating Amsterdam, but we’re also celebrating Armani. The iconic brand turned 50, and the celebrations are nothing short of legendary, just in Re Giorgio Armani’s style. To mark this milestone, Armani will unveil Armani/Archivio, a visionary new project that pays tribute to five decades of design. The celebration includes an exhibition and a fashion show set to take place at the Pinacoteca di Brera during Milan Fashion Week. But first, Armani/Archivio will make its debut on Saturday, August 30, at the Venice Film Festival (La Mostra)—a fitting stage for a brand that has always blurred the lines between fashion and cinema.

TYLER, THE CREATOR DROPS NEW ALBUM ‘DON’T TAP THE GLASS’
Attention, Tyler fans—this one’s for you. Tyler, The Creator has just dropped his ninth studio album, Don’t Tap the Glass—and it’s everything you’d expect and more. The 10-track project blends Tyler’s signature funky wit with raw emotion, featuring standout tracks like “Sugar On My Tongue,” “Ring Ring Ring,” and “I’ll Take Care of You.” Adding even more depth to the album are collaborations with Pharrell Williams (credited as SK8BRD) on the infectious “Big Poe,” and DAISY WORLD on the dreamy “Don’t You Worry Baby.” Don’t Tap the Glass is out now on all major streaming platforms—and yes, it’s been on repeat in our headphones all week.
