EVERYTHING YOU MISSED THIS WEEK
editor ELIANA CASA
Welcome to August – and all the ‘out-of-the office’ emails that the fashion industry is setting up or has already set up by now…well, except for this writer right here. Camera della Moda releasing the official Milan Fashion Week calendar is a gentle reminder that fashion month is just around the corner — and what better way to prepare for it than from the seashore of Capri, while sipping an Americano Sbagliato? It’s not our case, no worries. But let’s be honest, mentally, we’re feeling like Kate Moss and Chloë Sevigny in the latest Saint Laurent campaign everyone splurged on, or maybe Nadia Lee Cohen in Aphex Twin’s new video? While we try to make sense of our feelings, take a moment to process the past week by diving into our weekly recap. You know the drill… scroll down to find out more.
SAINT LAURENT HEATS THINGS UP WITH KATE MOSS AND CHLOË SEVIGNY
For days, this campaign has been everywhere on our IG feeds — and once you see it, there’s no wondering why. It’s no news that Saint Laurent is synonymous with sexy, but this time, Anthony Vaccarello went completely overboard (in the best way possible). Kate Moss and Chloë Sevigny, shot by Mert Alas? We couldn't ask for more. Titled “Velvet Heat”, the FW25 campaign feels like a lucid dream — past memories stitched together into a visual collage on camcorder. It’s intimate, raw, delicate, vulnerable. Kate Moss leads the video through heat and silence, reciting words of lost love from a poem by Mert Alas. Chloë appears as a lover, or perhaps an old friend, as they wander the LA seashore, ride in a car, and drift in a swimming pool while wearing YSL heels. “I laugh too loud in quiet rooms, and I leave before the music stops every f****** time,” Kate says. Anthony, once again, you’ve delivered a cinematic masterpiece — where fashion becomes the glue holding everything together.
Some of us are still recovering… and others probably never will.

JOINING THE GANG IS BEAUTIFUL AND LOFI FOR SOMETHING SPECIAL AT ADE
Summers in Amsterdam are no joke — and this August feels more like October than ever. Could this moody weather be preparing us for the heat we’re about to bring to ADE? Probably. We’re teaming up with The Gang Is Beautiful and Lofi for something special on October 22 — and trust us, the lineup is to die for: Richie Hawtin, MARRÖN, Polygonia, Jeans, Olivia Mendez, Prance, and Joya Astou.
We like to keep things mysterious, so for now, we’ll leave you with this:

A CINEMATIC FEVER DREAM BY NADIA LEE COHEN FOR APHEX TWIN
Sometimes, we wish we could step inside Nadia Lee Cohen’s mind… ah, never mind — she just let us in, once again. In the latest Aphex Twin video “Korg Funk 5”, which she both directed and stars in, Nadia throws open the doors to her surreal, unsettling universe. Naturally, it’s already stirred up a storm on social media, with reactions ranging from weird to controversial to straight-up terrifying. To us, though? It’s unapologetically Nadia — and undeniably Aphex Twin (a.k.a. Richard David James). This collaboration feels just natural, especially considering James’s legacy of haunting visuals (see: “The Waxen Pith,” circa 1995, “Donkey Rhubarb”, “Come To Daddy”, and more). In this new fever dream, a faceless Nadia dances, gets shot by a child, and is chased by a clown — all while gracing the screen with vintage wigs and latex ensembles. It’s the kind of beautiful nightmare you don’t want to wake up from. It’s freaky. It’s fabulous. And it’s a match made in heaven… or maybe hell? Either way, we didn’t know we needed it until now.

KENDRICK LAMAR LAUNCHES HIS OWN CREATIVE AGENCY
Kendrick Lamar is one of those rare artists who can truly do it all — and we mean all. After dominating headlines with his high-profile feud with Drake and delivering an unforgettable Super Bowl performance, Lamar is once again leaving a mark— this time with something entirely different. Together with his longtime friend and creative partner Dave Free, he's launching Project 3, a full-service agency aimed at expanding resources for both independent creatives and corporate businesses. The venture offers creative direction, content creation, production services, brand design, and strategy. “For us, it was like: How do we build foundational structures for the business so [we] can last long term, versus trying to do too much at once and being bogged down,” Free commented. Lamar is building more than a business — he’s creating a new space for creativity to thrive. And we can’t wait to see which stories he brings to life next.

TOM HOLLAND IS THE NEW FACE OF PRADA PARADIGME
Tom Holland fronting the newest Prada fragrance campaign? Hell, yes. In the official release, Prada asks: “What if there’s another way?” The newest Paradigme fragrance is the answer. Rooted in reflection and self-exploration, this new fragrance bridges past and present — shaping a journey that connects the inner self with the outer world. In true Prada fashion, it carries an uplifting tension, wrapped in ambery woody notes that echo the house’s signature avant-garde spirit. Paradigme represents a new way of being, feeling, and doing. Conceived through the collaboration of three master perfumers — Marie Salamagne, Bruno Jovanovic, and Nicolas Bonneville — the scent reimagines masculinity through unexpected, dynamic compositions. “Inverting the conventions of composition to create a ‘reverse pyramid’ allowed the fragrance to unfold uniquely, with base notes emerging first and gradually revealing heart and top notes. This inversion creates a truly captivating and unexpected experience,” said Bonneville.

TOO HOT TO HANDLE: DSQUARED2 WEATHER PREDICTIONS ACCORDING TO DEAN AND DAN
Confused by this wild weather? Thank goodness Dean and Dan at the DSQUARED2 offices are here to make sense of it all — with their new “too hot to handle” forecast. Luckily, we tuned into the right channel just in time. The iconic duo dropped one of the funniest campaigns we've seen online in a while, breaking the monotony of the past few days in true DSQUARED2 fashion. While giving totally fake geography lessons, the designers responded to “very concerned” customers wondering how to embrace their hotness in teeny-tiny shorts and sheer tops. Socks with sandals? Don’t even think about it. This summer, you know what to do — call the DSQUARED2 Weather Report and tap into everything that’s hot.
