INSIDE THIS YEAR’S AUDEMARS PIGUET PARALLEL
words by NATALIE GAL
We’re big fans, not just of great jazz, but of Audemars Piguet too. This year, they continued their tradition of the Audemars Piguet Parallel experience. Now a key part of the Montreux Jazz Festival, this music-filled evening offers a refreshing break from the festival’s main programme.
This year the event took place in a disused power plant in Vouvry, overlooking Lake Geneva, that was transformed into a striking venue. Around 1,000 guests enjoyed electric sets from Alex Wann, Chloé Caillet, and Peggy Gou. The night felt truly special, since few events bring music, design, and craftsmanship together so seamlessly. Moreover, staying true to the spirit of surprise, the secret location, the old industrial site from 1964, was revealed only last-minute, keeping the guests excitedly guessing.
Launched in 2022, the project highlights Audemars Piguet’s deep connection to music. Since 2006, AP has supported music through research, artist collaborations, and preserving the Montreux Jazz Festival archives. Since their launch they have featured artists like The Blaze, Arlo Parks, Mochakk, and Black Coffee.
The brand created some unforgettable music moments this year, but a standout? Mark Ronson and RAYE’s track “Suzanne”, made to celebrate AP’s 150th anniversary. It's already one of our favourite songs of the year!
