MCQUEEN AUTUMN WINTER 2025 CAMPAIGN
words DOMINIKA GŁOWACZ
McQueen has done it again, with a Victorian Gothic-inspired campaign featuring icons such as Alex Consani, Athiec Geng, Chu Wong, and Libby Taverner.
This campaign is all about freedom, self-expression, and liberation, reflecting the daring spirit of 19th-century artists, writers, and creatives like Oscar Wilde, Vesta Tilley, and Romaine Brooks.
Photographed and directed by Glen Luchford, it portrays a journey from control to joyful freedom. Movement and energy are highlighted, all under a ghostly, ethereal light.
The designs themselves blend delicacy and strength: silk georgette flows through shadow and light, while raw-edged lace, sharp tailoring, and black-lacquered leather create striking contrasts. On their own, the bodies arch, twist, and writhe; together, they form a collective force, guided by instinct and feeling. Each movement is accompanied by a rich, textural soundscape, heightening the emotional and sensory experience of the campaign.
McQueen’s Autumn/Winter 2025 collection is a bold celebration of individuality, artistic daring, and the enduring power of expression.
