MIU MIU ANNOUNCES A SECOND ITERATION OF ‘TALES & TELLERS’ ENVISAGED BY MIUCCIA PRADA

words NIA TOPALOVA

Tales&Tellers is a site-specific performance, installation, and exploration of ideas of femininity. Envisioned by Miuccia Prada, conceived by interdisciplinary artist Goshka Macuga, and convened by Elvira Dyangani Ose, director of MACBA, Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona, the project is inspired by the artistic interventions from Miu Miu runway shows between Spring/Summer 2022 and 2025, featuring female creatives.

Originally debuted in Paris in October 2024, at the Palais d’Iéna, Tales&Tellers will be presented on May 10th and 11th 2025 in New York, at the Terminal Warehouse 261 on 11th Ave. Tales&Tellers comprises Miu Miu Women’s Tales series since 2011, featuring a physical installation, projection, and performances in collaboration with theatre and opera director Fabio Cherstich, Macuga, and Dyangani Os.

Tales&Tellers continues Goshka Macuga’s exploration of the genesis of public space - with physical installation designed by OMA / AMO. Macuga is a Polish multidisciplinary artist, curator, historian, and exhibition designer, who’s practice is based on historical and archival research, working with the pressing issues of our time as a form of institutional critique.

Tales&Tellers will be open to the public on the 10th and 11th of May 2025, with a private preview on the 9th of May. The complete program and registration for the project will be available at miumiu.com from May 2nd.
