NEW ERA OF DIOR IS HERE

words by MAREK BARTEK

It feels like ages since the June 2nd announcement of Jonathan Anderson taking on a position of Dior’s creative director. Anderson became the second person, after Mr Dior, to oversee both women’s and men’s ready-to-wear collections, as well as haute couture. The stakes are high, and so it comes as no surprise that Dior Men Summer 2026 collection, which will take place today at 14:30 CET, is going to be, without a doubt, the most talked show of the season.

What sparks the conversation is the unexpected cluelessness of what’s to come. Normally we all have opinions, but this time, it is really hard to predict. Anderson, famed for his quirky and fresh approach to fashion, making Loewe one of the hottest brands on the market is about to present a collection for a brand that is a synonym to elegance and sophistication. Will he bring out his funky fashion sense or will he tone down to follow the House’s long standing legacy? The answer seems to lie somewhere in the middle. Building up the excitement, Dior has shared a few sneak peeks. First and foremost, we couldn’t not notice the return to the previous logo, keeping only the first letter capitalised. Among the teasers appeared Andy Warhol’s photographs of Jean-Michel Basquiat and Lee Radziwill, ceramic plate with three eggs (which served as an inspiration for the invitation) or animal-shaped pincushions.

But beyond just inspirational imagery, we also got an actual preview of the collection. Dior unveiled three images of ‘Booktote’ bag designs. The one catching most attention was probably the bright yellow one, with red text reading “Dracula by Bram Stoker” being a direct reference to the iconic book cover. And if you’re wondering about the RTW, brand’s ambassador Kylan Mbappé appeared in the short video and series of images revealing first looks of Dior Men Summer 2026.

It feels almost as an understatement to say we are excited to see what Jonathan Anderson created this season what the future holds for the House of Dior.
