THE POWER OF THE FLOW, OUR FIRST STEP INTO WELLNESS WITH W AMSTERDAM

words MARIE-PAULINE CESARI

Last week marked a beautiful new chapter for us: we hosted our very first yoga event. In collaboration with our longtime partner W AMSTERDAM and co-hosted with Cafecito, we welcomed a cherished group of friends, creatives, and collaborators for a moment to pause, breathe, and connect.

In the whirlwind of daily life, we believe it’s essential to slow down and make space; for wellness, for laughter, and for one another. That intention guided us as we came together for a one-hour yoga flow, led by Angèle Dubois, one of the best teachers in Amsterdam. Her class, crafted especially for this occasion, gently introduced the deep benefits of yoga; both grounding and uplifting.

Surrounded by friendly faces, we moved, stretched, and shared quiet smiles and spontaneous giggles. But this wasn’t just about the poses, it was about the shared experience. The wildness of our creative lives found a soft moment of peace, together.

Our yoga practice was elevated by Manduka, the go-to brand for premium, yoga gear. Their  PROlite® yoga mats and cork blocks; crafted with both performance and the planet in mind; aligned perfectly with our values of quality, consciousness, and community.

That sense of flow naturally extended into a post-practice ritual curated by Cafecito, who joined us not just as a hospitality partner, but as an experiential collaborator. Their presence — with a beautifully set-up mobile station and mindful curation of high-grade matcha, comforting coffee, and delicate cakes — offered more than just refreshments. It created a sensory transition that honored the moment of stillness we had just shared, grounding us further in presence and connection. Their commitment to intentionality and shared vision with W Amsterdam made their involvement feel not only seamless, but essential.

The atmosphere was made all the more special thanks to set designer Antonia Osch, who transformed the space with flowers and subtle design touches into something that felt more like a friend's living room than an event venue. Cozy, warm, and filled with intention; just how we like it.

The visual identity of the event, imagined by Valentine Mathieu, perfectly captured the spirit of the gathering: where the elevated world of Numéro Netherlands meets the calming flow of yoga.

And of course, every beautiful detail and fleeting moment was captured by our favorite photographer, Rebecca Kapenga, whose warm eye and gentle lens made us feel even more present.

For us, this event was the beginning of something deeper. A small, shared ritual reminding us that creativity doesn’t just come from action, but also from stillness.

Until next time—inhale, exhale.
