ART’OTEL AMSTERDAM: THE CITY’S LANDMARK THAT FEELS LIKE A CONTEMPORARY ART MUSEUM
words by NATALIE GAL
Art’otel now cemented its status as one of Amsterdam’s most iconic hotels, just steps from Centraal Station, this hotel blends high-end hospitality with immersive art experiences. Moreover, true to the art’otel philosophy, local talent shines in the new curated exhibition, NOCKNOCK’s “INCLUSION.”
The name says it all: art is at the core of everything art’otel Amsterdam stands for. Now, the hotel is pushing boundaries further with its brand new exhibition curated by NOCKNOCK: “INCLUSION.” In this exhibition space guests can immerse themselves in concepts of identity and connnection, in tune with the Pride events around the city. The exhibition will feature Arjan Spannenburg, Renata Dutrée, Objects by Marie and Janice Jill.
But art flows beyond the walls of the gallery itself. Every hallway, every room is a carefully composed with design elements and special art pieces. The hotel features 107 elegant rooms and suites, each with a unique artistic touch. Moreover, guests can unwind at the indoor pool, recharge at the gym, or relax in the sauna. The hotel feels like staying inside a contemporary art museum, but warmer, more personal. And let’s face it…who haven’t dreamt of sleeping in a museum or gallery as a kid?
Now, we must talk about the location! Few places can claim a more central spot than art’otel. Located literally across from Amsterdam Centraal Station Step outside and you're right on the docks, with boats gliding through the water, and a wealth of hotspots within walking distance. One of the biggest draws is ARCA, the hotel's own restaurant and cocktail bar, an award-winning dining destination in its own right.
Art’otel is a key part of Amsterdam’s skyline and the city’s soul. For us, it’s the first landmark we see when we leave Centraal Station. That familiar facade is a reminder: You’re home. You’re in Amsterdam.
