CASA CEDO: THE CREATIVE RETREAT IN PORTO
In the heart of Porto, Casa Cedo offers a different way to experience the city. Set within a restored 19th-century townhouse on Rua de Cedofeita, the eight-room boutique hotel was created by Massimiliano Sale’ and Jeremiah Healy as a place where hospitality, design and creativity naturally come together. Casa Cedo is a house that invites guests to slow down, spend time well and discover Porto through its artistic and cultural life.
The restoration, carried out with local architects and designers, preserves the building's original character and introduces Quiet studios with contemporary interiors inspired by nature and Portuguese art, as well as Atelier in.vitro, founded by Joana Leandro Vasconcelos. Original architectural details sit alongside bespoke furniture, vintage pieces and works by local and international artists, while botanical references run throughout the house, from the rooms to the garden. Sustainability also informed the project, with reclaimed materials incorporated into the renovation and a water-recycling system integrated into the building.
Beyond its eight rooms, Casa Cedo is shaped by a series of shared spaces designed for conversation, creativity and community. A flower shop offering Byredo products and fragrances doubles as the reception, while the lounge, bar and former workshop host breakfasts, private dinners, exhibitions, workshops and chef residencies throughout the year. Through curated experiences, bespoke itineraries and collaborations with Porto's creative community, Casa Cedo offers guests an intimate introduction to the city, rooted in thoughtful design and genuine hospitality.
