DOLCE VITA DONE RIGHT AT LE SIRENUSE BEACH CLUB
Perched along the breathtaking curve of the Amalfi Coast, the spectacle of summer par excellence, Le Sirenuse has spent decades refining the dolce vita spirit of intimacy and beauty. Now, on the occasion of its 75th anniversary, the Sersale family extends that philosophy beyond Positano with the opening of Le Sirenuse Mare, the coast’s first standalone beach club.
Set in the understated fishing town of Nerano, a short boat ride from Positano, the project structures itself across a sequence of terraces cascading towards the sea in a way that clearly follows the well-established codes of Le Sirenuse. Its attention to detail, its cultivation of ease are all there, just now translated and reimagined in an open, sun-filled register. Pebble beaches, private jetties, shaded cabanas, and breezy lounges form a landscape where time gives way, leaving space for total immersion.
At its core lies Italian hospitality, the one of slowness and conviviality. The 180-seat restaurant, led by chef Francesco De Simone, draws from Campanian traditions, staying seasonal and local, while three distinct bars shape the day, from late-morning granitas to sea-air infused aperitivo.
Yet Le Sirenuse Mare resists being reduced to a destination. Art elevates the experience: a monumental fountain by Giuseppe Ducrot adds importance to the space, while works by Rose Wylie and Bosco Sodi inhabit the beach club’s upper terraces. Nearby, the first standalone Emporio Sirenuse store extends the aesthetic into clothing and objects.
What emerges is a sun-imbued atmosphere, where the myth of the dolce vita is not forced on or staged but simply exists with quiet authority, enveloping guests like a warm summer breeze.
