JORDNÆR: A FINE DINING LOVE STORY
Born from the love story of Chef Eric Kragh Vildgaard and Maître d’ Tina Kragh Vildgaard, Jordnær has become one of the world's most celebrated fine dining destinations. Nestled within a humble three-star hotel in the suburbs of Copenhagen, the restaurant opened in 2017 and quickly transformed the Nordic dining scene before earning international acclaim.
“Jordnær is a truly extraordinary restaurant. We had the pleasure to share a meal together with the chef and his team in the kitchen, which was such a unique experience. Every dish was exceptional, I loved the attention to detail and the creativity.”
Today, Jordnær holds three Michelin stars and has received numerous international accolades. The restaurant debuted at No. 38 on The World's 50 Best Restaurants list in 2022, was named Restaurant of the Year in Denmark in 2023, received La Liste's Hidden Gem Award, and achieved a shared 6th place in the La Liste 1000 Best Restaurants ranking in 2024. In 2025, Jordnær was also included at No. 56 on The World's 50 Best Restaurants extended list. Chef Eric Vildgaard was ranked No. 3 in The Best Chef Awards in 2024 and retained the organisation's highest distinction of Three Knives in the 2025 edition.
