MOËT & CHANDON PAINTS THE SEASON RED
editor MAREK BARTEK
Moët & Chandon steps into the holidays with a bang: an exclusive limited-edition bottle in deep matte red. It’s the first time the House trades its iconic gold for something this bold — a move perfectly aligned with the season’s “power red” obsession. The colour switch turns the bottle into more of a sculptural object, which still remains glamorous and unapologetically Parisian.

Alongside the release, Moët & Chandon presents a full spectrum of champagnes for every kind of celebration. The star, of course, is the Brut Impérial in its new crimson skin, joined by the elegant Rosé Impérial and the character-driven Grand Vintage — each crafted with cellar master Benoît Gouez’s trademark balance of freshness and fruit. For gifting, the Grand Vintage 2016 Blanc and Rosé, housed in sleek black, offer a deeper expression, shaped by years of aging and the unique qualities of the 2016 season.
Moët also reminds us that champagne is as much about ritual as taste. Store the bottle away from heat and light, chill gently — don’t freeze — and serve at 8–10°C (non-vintage) or 10–12°C (vintage). And if you want the full aromatic spectrum? Swap the flute for a wine glass; the champagne opens up beautifully.
The matte-red limited edition will be available from 1 November 2025 at De Bijenkorf, Gall & Gall, and selected wine retailers.
