SIPSY X BAR BOELE: A GOOD DAY STARTS WITH GOOD COFFEE

There are days when our biggest motivation is the cup of coffee or matcha waiting for us. Or perhaps that is every day. To make student life a little easier, Sipsy – the official coffee and matcha partner of Numéro Netherlands' event at Lofi – and Bar Boele, at the heart of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, are shaking hands and creating a new synergy on campus.

Born near Paleis Noordeinde, Sipsy now brings its menu to the students of VU. What sets it apart is what goes into the cup. The brand knows exactly where every bean comes from, buying straight from the growers and skipping anyone in between. A new batch is roasted each week. The matcha travels from Kyoto through a specialist producer the brand works with closely.

"We believe everyone deserves exceptional quality in their daily cup," says Johannes Kagan Han, Founder of Sipsy.

For Mehmet Karaca, General Manager of Bar Boele, the appeal is simple: offering guests something more than an ordinary coffee, made with care and sourced honestly. Students find the fuel they need for long study sessions. Theatre and cinema visitors find a small luxury before the lights go down.

Study by day, culture by night. Now both come with a better cup.
