THE WORLD’S BEST HOTELS 2026 UNVEILED AT THE AWARDS CEREMONY IN PARIS
Yesterday, the fourth annual edition of The 50 Best Hotels was unveiled at the awards ceremony in Paris, recognising exceptional hospitality experiences from across the globe, spanning 22 territories across six continents. For the first time since its inception, the awards ceremony was held outside London, bringing travel industry leaders and enthusiasts together at Les Salles du Carrousel in Paris to celebrate exceptional hotel experiences from around the world. The event showcased new benchmarks in hospitality excellence while inspiring travellers and industry professionals alike.
The 50 Best Hotels ranking recognised outstanding hotels and individuals who represent the very best in their field. Rosewood Hong Kong (No.1) was named The World’s Best Hotel and The Best Hotel in Asia. Atlantis The Royal (No.4) in Dubai received The Best Hotel in the Middle East and The Best Beach Hotel awards, while Passalacqua (No.5) in Lake Como was named The Best Hotel in Europe and The Best Boutique Hotel for the third consecutive year. Rosewood São Paulo (No.6) was recognised as The Best Hotel in South America, and Chablé Yucatán (No.9) in Mexico received the Bombay Sapphire Eco Hotel Award following a rigorous audit by the Sustainable Restaurant Association.
In Oceania, Capella Sydney (No.16) was named The Best Hotel in Oceania, while Casa Maria Luigia (No.18) in Modena, Italy, received the Lavazza Highest New Entry Award. Las Ventanas al Paraíso (No.25) in Los Cabos, Mexico, won the WhistlePig Highest Climber Award after rising 19 places from No.44. Patina Osaka (No.33) in Japan was awarded the Nikka Best New Hotel Award, while Badrutt’s Palace (No.36) in St. Moritz received the Sei Bellissimi Art of Hospitality Award. Hôtel du Couvent (No.38) in Nice, France, was presented with the Johnnie Walker Art of Design Award.
James McBride, founder of Nihi Hotels, was celebrated with the SevenRooms Icon Award, while the Ferrari Trento Most Admired Hotel Group Award went to Rosewood.
