ROMÉE AVRIL LAUNCHES DEBUT SINGLE “TOUCH ME”

Rotterdam-born, Seoul-based artist Romée Avril officially launches her debut single Touch Me today. The track transforms the familiar idea of a game of hide-and-seek into a statement about confidence, femininity, and refusing to be suppressed by society’s expectations. Touch Me explores what happens when a woman dares to step fully into her light. With visibility often comes prejudice, judgment, and negative energy that can make being seen feel unsafe. Rather than allowing that negativity to define her, Romée turns it into a game: Come catch me.

Produced by JLV, mixed by David Yungin Kim, and mastered by Will Quinnell, known for his work on JENNIE’s Ruby album, Touch Me delivers a seductive yet empowering response to everything that attempts to pull women back into the shadows. Romée chooses to remain grounded in her own energy, rise above judgment, and keep moving forward. The playful challenge of Touch Me becomes a metaphor for self-confidence, being visible without apologizing for it.

Romée celebrated the debut of her single with an exclusive event at Grain Haus in Seoul, featuring a performance experience and an all-female DJ lineup. The evening brought together a great mix of DJs, A&Rs, artists, producers, creatives and friends. 

The official music video will be released on September 22, following the release of its official teaser. Through both the song and visual, Romée invites listeners to stop allowing external judgment to determine how brightly they are allowed to shine.
