YADE LAUREN ANNOUNCES SECOND STUDIO ALBUM “MS LAUREN” IN ARCHIVAL CHANEL
Following an avant-garde headline performance at Parels van de Stad, acclaimed Dutch artist Yade Lauren prepares to release her second studio album: Ms Lauren on Friday, September 25, 2026. The independent project marks her long-awaited return over six years after her debut Reflecties (2020). Stepping into the role of Creative Director, Yade brought post-apocalyptic Y2K references with archival runway edge to mirror the distorted, high-octane world of her new record.
Yade Lauren approached Parels van de Stad as an independently produced, narrative-driven live production. Directing every stage facet herself alongside show director Devon Suriya (AIKO), the performance was built on bespoke live musical arrangements, atmospheric visuals by Renzo van Dierendonck, and cinematic choreography led by Devante Walden. Curated in collaboration with stylists Nga Ho and Tirino Yspol, the visual identity centered on a concept described as "post-apocalyptic Y2K psychosis." Yade wore an archival vintage Chanel runway suit. Surrounding her, the cast each embodied distinct character arcs styled in rare vintage pieces from Jean Paul Gaultier, John Galliano, DSquared2, and Ed Hardy.
The conceptual vision behind this new era came to life inside Hotel Okura Amsterdam, a serene sanctuary where Yade frequently retreats. Grounded in understated luxury and the Japanese philosophy of Omotenashi (mindful hospitality from the heart), Okura served as the official creative residence for Yade and her core team in the intimate days leading up to the stage reveal.
