FORMULA 1 VICTORY TRAVELS IN LOUIS VUITTON
words by PHOEBE GIBSON-DOUGALL
Louis Vuitton knows a thing or two about being at the top of their game and about doing it in style. So, it figures that the luxury Maison is the perfect Title Partner of the Formula 1®, a role it has fulfilled in 2025, and is set to continue in 2026 as the Title Partner of the FORMULA 1® LOUIS VUITTON GRAND PRIX DE MONACO 2026™. This is the next chapter in the official partnership between Louis Vuitton, Formula 1®, and the Automobile Club de Monaco, and is a collaboration born of their shared values of high performance and outstanding achievement.

For over 170 years, Louis Vuitton has been celebrated for its excellent leather craftsmanship, from the first Auto Trunks designed by Georges Vuitton to the iconic Louis Vuitton Trophy Trunks created for housing the trophies of the world’s greatest sports competitions. It is these Trophy Trunks, crafted in historic workshops at Asnières, that have encased and protected the winning trophies of the Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco™ for the past five years. The Trunk is clad in the Maison’s iconic monogram, reinterpreted exclusively in a shade of red that echoes Monaco’s national colour. The signature “V”, standing here for both Vuitton and Victory, is embossed in red and white, a nod to the Principality’s national flag.

In 2025, the Maison expanded its partnership with Formula 1®, creating official Trophy Trunks for each Grand Prix of the 2025 Formula 1® season. This past weekend, to commemorate the last Grand Prix of the 2025 season in Abu Dhabi, Louis Vuitton brought together each of its 24 Formula 1 Trophy Trunks on the starting grid, arranged in a V shape symbolizing both Victory and Vuitton. The final trophy of the year was presented in its Louis Vuitton Trophy Trunk, awarded to Max Verstappen, driver for the Red Bull Racing team.
In addition, during the FORMULA 1® ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX 2025, Louis Vuitton unveiled its bespoke signage at the Abu Dhabi circuit. The design evokes the speed and intensity of Formula 1® cars, reflecting the performance values cherished by Louis Vuitton. To conclude this exceptional season, Lando Norris was crowned 2025 FIA Formula One World Drivers, further elevating this final moment of celebration.

2026 will see Louis Vuitton present the Monaco Grand Prix Trophy Trunk for the sixth consecutive year, alongside stepping up for the first time as a Title Partner of the Grand Prix de Monaco™, a proud reassertion of the Maison’s commitment to the sport. Throughout next year’s event, Louis Vuitton will be represented trackside by creative banners that reinterpret the Maison’s signature to evoke the speed and thrilling sensation of the Formula 1®.
Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco™ is considered by fans to be one of the most important and prestigious car races in the world, just as Louis Vuitton is considered the pinnacle of luxury craftsmanship and design. In the past, present, and future: “Victory travels in Louis Vuitton.”
