PUMA REWORKS FERRARI CLASSICS

words by FELICITY CARTER

PUMA and Scuderia Ferrari HP return to the partnership's archive for A/W 26, revisiting some of its best-known designs. Drawing on Ferrari's racing history and PUMA's own design legacy, the collection reintroduces silhouettes that have remained part of both brands' visual identity for decades.

The collection revisits the visual language of the early noughties while maintaining a clear connection to Ferrari's racing heritage; take the T7 track jacket which leads the line-up, joined by a racing vest, polo shirt and track trousers, each updated with refined proportions while nodding to the originals. First introduced in 1968, the T7 became one of PUMA's signature designs, moving from performance sportswear into music, street culture and fashion, and more than half a century later, it's still one of the brand's most recognisable silhouettes.

Footwear anchors the collection with the Speedcat, which was originally developed from F1 pit-lane footwear in the late '90s, has re-emerged as one of fashion's defining trainers over the past year. Alongside it sits the Suede OG, first released in 1968 and adopted over the decades by basketball players, musicians and skateboarders, securing its place as one of PUMA's longest-running designs.

PUMA and Ferrari have worked together for more than 20 years, making theirs one of motorsport's longest-standing collaborations. And it's that history which allows the collection to revisit familiar designs without relying on nostalgia, updating materials and construction while preserving the OG silhouettes.

The collection arrives as Scuderia Ferrari HP continues to strengthen its roster of global partners. Chivas Regal joined the team as an Official Team Partner ahead of the 2025 F1 season, while Richard Mille has worked with the Scuderia since 2021 as its Official Watch and Team Partner, a partnership that has also produced a series of limited-edition Ferrari timepieces. Together, they reflect F1's growing appeal to luxury brands built on craftsmanship, engineering and heritage.
