ANOVAIR COMES HOME TO AMSTERDAM

Anovair just celebrated its first Amsterdam pop-up with an intimate Coming Home lunch and private opening, before opening its doors to the public, from today until October 4. Guests gathered around the table for a chance to slow things down, spend time together and celebrate an important moment for the brand in a more personal way. Later that evening, the doors opened to the wider Amsterdam community for the private opening, bringing together friends of the brand, talent, and people from across the city’s creative community.

The FW26 collection takes its starting point in 1970s Amsterdam, bringing together the sense of occasion that once surrounded air travel and Johan Cruyff’s instinctive sense of style, on and off the pitch. It looks back at a time when travellers dressed for the journey with intention, with well cut trousers, crisp shirts, fine knits and casually thrown on jackets. These references inform a wardrobe shaped by vintage design and simplicity, bringing the spirit of the era into everyday dressing.

For many of the guests, it was also a chance to discover more about where ANOVAIR actually comes from. While the brand has built a growing international community over the years, the story behind it started much closer to home. Tim and Maurice grew up together in Bruinisse, a small fishing village in Zeeland. They have been friends since they were three years old, went to the same schools and grew up sharing many of the interests that would later become part of ANOVAIR.
