FOR THE RAINY DAYS, MAIUM PRESENTS MOVING SARTORIALISM
editor MAREK BARTEK
MAIUM introduces AW’25: Moving Sartorialism, a collection that continues the brand’s exploration of functional tailoring. Known for outerwear built for real life and real weather, MAIUM takes a more considered approach this season, balancing structured silhouettes with softer, more organic shapes. The result is a wardrobe built around movement; practical without losing their sense of design.

At the heart of the collection is the idea that functionality does not have to cancel out elegance. Classic sartorial references are reworked through MAIUM’s technical lens, creating strong yet wearable silhouettes. Coats and jackets are engineered for comfort and protection, while maintaining a sharp visual language that feels contemporary.
AW’25 also marks an expansion of MAIUM’s collaboration with the Van Gogh Museum, created in celebration of Amsterdam’s 750th anniversary. This winter, the partnership takes a more poetic turn. An exclusive print draws directly from Vincent van Gogh’s letters, written during his time in the city, reflecting on Amsterdam’s atmosphere, architecture, and famously unpredictable weather.
Passages describing stormy skies, rain-soaked streets, and quiet mornings at museums are woven into the fabric — quite literally. The print only reveals itself when exposed to rain, turning weather into an active participant in the design. As water hits the surface, Van Gogh’s words slowly appear, transforming each piece into a fashionable canvas.
