LA MANSO X TÉTIER BIJOUX’S 2.0 COLLAB IS SPRING FEVER AS JEWELLERY

When La Manso and Tétier Bijoux collaborated for the first time in 2023, it felt inevitable. They both operate within the same colourful plastic dimension of humour, craft and non-conformism. It is jewellery, but not polite. Now, this May marked the release of the second La Manso x Tétier Bijoux chapter; this time around, more mature, more textured and even more alive.

The first La Manso x Tétier Bijoux project, Queens of Plastic, already felt like the perfect storm brewing. Florence Tétier is known for its instinctive, upcycled approach, while Adriana Manso brings a bold and democratic vision to jewellery. The two together created pieces that were sculptural, colourful, and almost edible in their visual language. It was playful but still somewhat elevated by a strong sense of fantasy, attitude, and identity.

For their second collaboration, the two designers retain that original energy while pushing the research further. This time, the collection begins with flowers as living material: scanned, studied, observed at different stages of maturation, and transformed into textures, colours, and forms that crystallise into jewellery that feels caught between nature and artificiality, like petals fossilised in candy-coloured resin or botanical relics from some surreal garden.

The pieces are delicious and odd; they feel very pop, feminine, and slightly absurd, very La Manso and very Tétier, yet the mood feels more refined this time. Rings become small wearable sculptures while earrings feel like fragments of flowers caught mid-transformation.

This collaboration also showcases the strength of both creators. Tétier, whose practice moves between fashion, art direction, upcycling, and object design, brings a different type of sensibility that feels more raw and instinctive. Manso, who launched La Manso in 2019, continues to reshape the world of plastic into something more dramatic and unexpectedly luxurious.

With this new chapter, the two keep the fun but deepen the process behind it. La Manso x Tétier is upcycling, glossy, strange, refined, fun; it is spring fever as jewellery.
