LUDOVIC DE SAINT SERNIN MAKES A CASE FOR A SUMMER IN BRAZIL

words by MAREK BARTEK

For those who might have been on the verge of buying a one-way ticket to Brazil, Ludovic de Saint Sernin’s latest swimwear campaign might just be the reason to actually go through with it. In the spirit of “Habibi, come to Brazil,” the French house known for its sensuality makes a convincing case for a summer pilgrimage with a sun-drenched campaign shot in Rio de Janeiro.

Captured by photographer Jorge Perez Ortiz, the imagery unfolds across some of the city’s landscapes, from the beaches to an Oscar Niemeyer-designed residence in São Conrado. Throughout the campaign, Brazilian model Barbara Valente is joined by an all-Brazilian cast, embodying that effortless magnetism we have come to love about both Rio and the world of Ludovic de Saint Sernin.

The season also marks an important step for the brand’s swimwear offering. Alongside the return of its signature menswear styles, Ludovic de Saint Sernin relaunches womenswear swimwear with three new silhouettes: a bikini, trikini and bodysuit, each available in black, white and brown. The now iconic drawstring swimwear and air-light shirts feel almost like an invitation take a stroll from the beach to the city.

It’s hot, it’s sunny, and just the right amount of queer.
