‘SIGNES & SYMBOLES’ BY CHANEL

For Gabriel Chanel, creation has always been an act of freedom: freedom to draw from one’s inner landscapes, to travel, discover, and admire; freedom to transform these references into symbols and principles of elegance. From Aubazine’s night sky to her admiration for the camellia, to the power of her birth sign the lion, and the light of the Mediterranean sun that she always praised - аll of these symbols have influenced her homes: the apartment on rue Cambon, and the villa La Pausa, ultimately  becoming links to her creative impulses.

The CHANEL Jewelry Creation Studio combines the opulence of shapes: the plastron and the bandeau, and the geometric purity of composition marked by symmetry. Through an extremely thorough search for colours, the House embodies this rhythm in terms of materials: in 85 pieces in blue, red, green, orange, yellow and pink in fine and hard stones: sapphire, ruby, emerald and diamond. 

‘Signes & Symboles’ is born by imagining a dialogue between the quintessential symbols of Gabrielle Chanel: the Camelia, the Star, the Sun and the Lion.
