IN CONVERSATION WITH TIANNA ROBILLARD

interview by JANA LETONJA

Tianna Robillard has quickly become one of the most dynamic voices in fashion, lifestyle, and sports culture-effortlessly blending high-fashion polish with the candid, approachable energy her nearly three million followers adore. This fall, she unveiled her latest milestone: a major collaboration with Tarte, launching “the EssenTTial Bundle”, a curated travel essentials kit inspired by her real-life habit of forgetting her go-to products on the road. From courtside fits to front-row fashion moments, the Forbes Power Women's Summit stage to her fast-growing brand Tianna Night Out, Tianna is shaping herself into one of the most influential creators of 2025. With a swimwear collection with LaPorte dropping on 9th December and major partnerships across fashion, beauty, and entertainment, she's solidifying her place as a creator who not only sets trends, but defines them.

Congratulations on the launch of your Tarte collaboration! What was the inspiration behind curating your own travel makeup bag?

Well, it’s a known thing that I always forget my makeup, so it was important for me to have an essentials kit, that can fit in just about any bag, of the 5 products that I need most, that make my everyday face. The good thing about it is you can easily build off of it, keeping it minimal to the five products or adding additional products on top for a full glam moment.

You've said you always forget your makeup when traveling. What were the nonnegotiable products you had to include?

All of them. These are literally my 5 non-negotiable products. Tarte wanted to play around with different products that went in the bundle, and I really fought for the final 5 products because they truly are my non-negotiables.

What part of the collaboration felt the most you-the aesthetic, the product selection, or the on-the-go concept?

Again, all of it. Tarte was incredible in that they gave me full creative freedom to choose my exact products, put together creative for a shoot that tells my day-to-night, girl on-the-go vibe, and really just let me run with it. Truly a creator’s dream when it comes to doing a collaboration with a brand.

How did it feel to finally see the bag in stores and in your followers’ hands after months of development?

A lot of the girlies on TikTok started making tutorial videos using the bundle, and it was so surreal to see women posting their content as well as truly “getting” the efficiency of the bundle. Specifically, I loved seeing how many moms found my bundle useful in their busy lives because it really reminded me how perfect this bundle is for just about anyone.

Your “Come With Me” videos have become a signature. What do you think resonates so strongly with your audience about your storytelling style?

I would say I keep things pretty relatable because I show just about everything – the good, the bad, the ugly. I think it’s important to remember that everything can be content. Going home for a weekend? Tell that story. Going grocery shopping? Tell that story. I film in 0.5 and use the tools that anyone could use in apps like CapCut or straight out of the TikTok app. No fancy bells or whistles, I truly hope the way I film and storytell encourages my followers to feel they can do the same. Like I always say, “Post Your Content”.

You balance high-fashion moments with a very approachable vibe. How do you keep your content aspirational yet relatable?

90% of the time, you’re going to see me dressed down in my go-to loungewear looking like Adam Sandler. But I really love showing how fun it can be being a girl. I also love to just play. High fashion can be so much fun, and the creative in me loves piecing together looks that are unique. I’d say I gravitate more towards streetwear, which has always felt like a good meet in the middle.

You’ve collaborated with brands across sports, fashion, and lifestyle. What do you look for in a partnership before saying yes?

When collaborating, I always love to be heavily involved in the creative and storytelling behind what we’re doing. But beyond that, collaborating with brands and people that really make sense with not only my audience, but their audience too. I ask myself, “Do I love what the brand is about, is it authentic to me, and does it allow me to show a part of who I am to my core in whatever the collaboration is?”

Your Tianna Night Out events have been huge successes. What sparked the idea to start your own live experience brand?

I left the football scene after a breakup, but still wanted to connect with the girls who loved sports. I thought to myself “Why don’t we start a watch party?”, a place where I could hang out with the audience that helped me get to where I am. Since then, it’s evolved to other events such as a birthday party, etc., but the core of it all was wanting to include my supporters into just about any type of celebration. Stay tuned, there’s more where that came from.

Conducting red carpet interviews with the panelists at the Forbes Power Women’s Summit was a major milestone. What message did you want to bring to that room?

The biggest thing I took away from my interviews with the panelists was that women rule the world and should encourage each other to speak more about topics that aren’t talked about as much for women. Some of those topics being financial literacy, running a business, and other male-dominated topics, all so that we can level up together.

What’s one destination that most inspires your fashion and beauty choices?

New York and Paris. I love that I get to see a mix of street style and high fashion.

Your swimwear collaboration with LaPorte drops soon. What story were you hoping to tell through this five-piece collection?

The concept of this line is “Late Checkout”, which is me to a T. Always running late, always somewhere new, and making sure I have swim pieces that I feel good in. I wanted to pick a color that looks good on anyone and pieces that are going to accentuate your body while in a swimsuit, and of course, feel wearable year-round. So whether it’s a winter holiday or your summer vacation, this collection will look perfect on you no matter where you are.

What piece from the collection feels most personal to you, and why?

I truly love all of the pieces – the two-piece, the one-piece, the sarong, and the dress. But if I had to choose one, I’d probably say the dress. Because it’s such a perfect and easy piece to travel with, it can go seamlessly over your swim or makes for a sexy night out. Not only that, La Porte has some of the best quality on the market, and I’m really proud to be working with them because of that.

What’s one space-fashion, beauty, sports, or something entirely unexpected —you’d love to expand to next?

It’s time I talk about my love and knowledge for coffee. You can expect to see me dive into that in 2026.
