SAINT LAURENT RIVE DROITE PRESENTS “CARTE POSTALE” BY SAUL LEITER
From May 8 to June 14, 2025, Saint Laurent Rive Droite welcomes Carte Postale, a series of photographs by American photographer and painter Saul Leiter, curated by Anthony Vaccarello. The Carte Postale series is a collection of small-format black-and-white photographs recently assembled by the Saul Leiter Foundation. Created in Leiter’s darkroom during the late '60s and early '70s, these intimate images capture friends, lovers, and strangers through his perceptive lens.
In 2024, Gallery FIFTY ONE held the first exhibition of the series and officially named it Carte Postale. Leiter mailed only a few of these prints, while others were placed in scrapbooks gifted to those close to him. The works offer a rare look into his private world and everyday life.
All exhibited pieces will be available for purchase at the SAINT LAURENT RIVE DROITE store in Paris.
