DISCOVER LISBON’S RADIANCE THROUGH THE LUMEN HOTEL

Centrally located in the Picoas neighborhood, the Lumen Hotel is not only a 4-star getaway— it’s an architectural haven. Designed by architect Frederico Valsassina, the structure maximizes space in a contemporary, smooth style with subtle brutalist influences. Natural light floods in every room through floor-to-ceiling glass walls that enhance the hotel’s simplistically retro interior design. Additional amenities, including an open-air courtyard and a rooftop bar and pool, complete the experience, offering guests a truly comfortable stay.

Light is the essence of the Lumen Hotel. The way sunlight enters each room throughout the day is perfectly crafted to create a warmth and radiance that enhances every space. This goal is echoed in every aspect of the hotel, including furnishing choices and, of course, the architecture itself. Interior design is based on tones of sunlight in its ‘golden hour’ prime, with yellows, orangesa nd reds dominating its visual identity. The sun’s heat also inspired the furniture choices, with ceramics being used inside, creating a unique interplay of warmth and sterility.

The hotel is home to 160 rooms, which include a majority of Deluxe experiences, as well as 7 Executive rooms, 5 Family Suites, 4 Executive Suites and 4 Master Suites. Whether you're on a business trip or a relaxed family vacation, any type of stay can be accommodated. All rooms feature floor-length windows and a distinct verticality with high ceilings and elevated floor lamps.

At the heart of the hotel lies its true centerpiece: an open-air indoor courtyard. Draped in ivy, this tranquil space offers a sheltered yet intimate atmosphere. Gentle water features weave through wooden structures, evoking the calm of a secluded oasis within the city.

Heading to the top floor, you’ll find another showstopper: The Rooftop Bar & Pool. Breathtaking views of Lisbon’s Tagus River amongst the cityscape line lounge chairs and an orange-hued pool, creating the ultimate holiday daydream. Another highlight includes the Clorofila Restaurant, providing a Portuguese-based fine dining experience for guests and nightly videomapping light shows that honor Lisbon’s culture
