PINKPANTHERESS UNVEILS ‘ROMEO’ VIDEO AHEAD OF BRIXTON RESIDENCY
PinkPantheress is stepping firmly into her next chapter. Fresh off her US late-night debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the British star has released the music video for ‘Romeo’, one of the standout tracks from her new mixtape Fancy That.
Directed by Iris Luz, the visual frames love as a game of chess, with PinkPantheress and artist Destin Conrad locked in a duel that mixes strategy with flirtation. Soon, they ascend as King and Queen of the board, commanding their life-sized pieces through a high-energy dance battle — a surreal, playful twist that feels distinctly hers.
Fancy That cements PinkPantheress’ evolution, pairing her featherlight vocals with sharp production and clever samples that nod to British pop culture. Calling it her “fancy era,” she leans into a kitsch and colourful aesthetic that’s raw, fun, and movement-driven.
Following her Glastonbury debut in June and a sold-out Alexandra Palace show last year, PinkPantheress returns to London this September for a two-night residency at O2 Academy Brixton. With critical acclaim already hailing her as a “low-key superstar,” anticipation is building for what promises to be another unforgettable performance.
